L’Or├ęal Paris Advanced Haircare Extraordinary Oil

Have you ever looked at someone’s hair in a magazine or on TV and think “Well that’s impossible to get it to look that shiny and soft…” I’ll admit, I was one of the one’s saying that too. However, after trying this line of amazing products, I am now a believer! I received the Extraordinary Oil line by Loreal from Influenster to try and review. And it has made me question every other hair product purchase I’ve ever made.

Loreal

It’s weird.. you know that feeling when you shampoo your hair, and you feel like everything has been stripped away and your hair feels dead and dry? Well you don’t get that feeling with this stuff. In fact, after you shampoo, it almost feels like you just finished using conditioner. Then when you condition and get out of the shower and use the oil serum, well… let’s just say magazine hair has been achieved. I am officially switching to this stuff forever. I am in love.

I received these products for free to test and review. All opinions are my own.

Ore-Ida Tater Tots

As I’m sitting here writing this, I’m eating some delicious tater tots, thanks to Influenster.
I’m not quite sure what to say about these…
They’re delicious, they turn the perfect golden-brown when ready, and they’re easy to make.
You just pop them in the oven for 15-20 minutes and boom! Yumminess.

I like that the cooking instructions on the bag include both full bag and half bag instructions. I’d like to think I can eat a whole bag of them, but my mind knows me better than that. So I made a half bag and shared them with my dad who kept checking the oven to see if they were done.

Kiss Lashes and Adhesive

Two more products that I received in the Jingle VoxBox were the Kiss True Volume Lashes, and the Kiss Lash Adhesive with Aloe.

Let’s play a little game. It’s called “Never Have I Ever”. Okay, I’ll go first.
Up until about half an hour ago, never have I ever put on false lashes.
What!? So stunned the game is already over? Aww, okay.
But yes, this was the first time I’ve ever put on false lashes.
I’ve always been okay with just eyeliner and mascara, I didn’t want to go through the hassle of putting on false lashes. So, here are my before and after pictures. Please don’t judge me, remember this is my first time. čśŤ

It’s kind of hard to tell in the picture, but they’re definitely on. haha
Overall, they were not hard to put on. Nice and easy application. However, after they were on, the ends did kind of bother me. They kept poking my eyelid. I’m not sure if I did it wrong, or if this is how they always are. I think I’ll stick to just eyeliner and mascara, but perhaps I’ll use these for special occasions. čÖé

Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream

One of the items I received in the Jingle VoxBox was the Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream.
I’ll be honest, I was confused at first, because I only knew Cetaphil as a face care brand. So when I saw people were using it on their hands, I realized they had branched out to more than just face products.

I usually only use Bath and Body Works lotion because let’s be honest, it smells AMAZING. However, this last winter my hands were cracking and super dry, and Bath and Body Works just wasn’t cutting it. Thankfully, I received this sample and I fell in love. It doesn’t make my hands baby-bottom smooth, but it gave them the moisture needed so that my knuckles weren’t cracking anymore. This stuff saved my hands during the winter, and I’m super happy with it. A little product goes a long way, too! It’s sort of a thicker consistency, so you’ll have to rub it in good.

Overall, I’m happy with this moisturizing cream, and I wold definitely recommend it if you’re struggling with cracked knuckles.

I’m so excited to write about some of these items, so stay tuned!!

Club W

So you know those websites where you create a profile and they find what shoes fit your personality?
Now imagine that, but with wine.

Yes, that actually exists. It’s called Club W.
You create a taste profile, and it tells you what wines they think you would enjoy. I’ll be honest, I haven’t tried it yet. However, I would love to see what they tell me to try. I like very few wines, so I would love to find one that I could drink more than a glass of and look all classy and whatnot.

Also, what I love about this website is that they have sort of a blog section. It has recipes for yummy looking food and sweets, and tells you which wine will pair with it best. There are also some fun articles, such as one that’s titled “How Your Starbucks Order Can Help You Find Your Favorite Wine”. Ummm, yes please!!

If you are a wine fanatic, are you ready for this?
Promo code time!!! If you use the code REFERME, you will receive a FREE bottle of wine from Club W when you purchase your first 2 bottles. The prices vary, with the cheapest bottle at $13.

Influenster’s Bella VoxBox

Hello! It’s been a while!! With Spring semester of school all finished up, I am once again free to blog away!
And with that, the timing couldn’t be any better, because I received Influenster’s Bella VoxBox!! I’m excited to test and review everything this box has to offer. Here is what came in the box:

voxbox

–┬áEcoTools Complexion Collection Mattifying Finish Brush
–┬áRimmel London Scandaleyes Mascara created by Kate Moss
–┬áRimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate
– Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs┬á(I received the shade “Medium”)
–┬áNot Your Mother’s Deja Vu Do Style Extender
–┬áDOVE with┬á
Fruit
–┬áClub W┬áPromotion Card

I have already used a few products, so I will review what I have experienced so far. čÖé

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Mascara created by Kate Moss
To be honest, I don’t see how this is much different than other mascaras.┬áDon’t get me wrong, it works well. There’s no clumping, it doesn’t flake, and I can actually see that I have eyelashes when I put it on. However, there’s no miracle curl to my lashes with it, my lashes don’t appear to grow, and it doesn’t look like I have super full amazing lashes. All it does is make my lashes look black. So if you’re a blonde-lashes person just trying to show the world that you do in fact have eyelashes, this would be a nice mascara to use.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate
I love Kate’s line of Rimmel lipsticks, so it was no surprise I loved this one too. It lasts about two-three hours before I have to reapply. It goes on smoothly and isn’t super dry when applied. However, I do usually put on a thin layer of chapstick on underneath when it’s hot and dry outside, because my lips tend to dry easily which with then make the lipstick appear to crack. I would recommend this lipstick, and I plan on getting more colors!

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs
The beginning of summer is usually a sad time for my skin. I try to get tan, but usually burn at first. So I go from white to red in a matter of days. All I want is that summer tan glow! Well I can finally get it with this stuff (that is until I can escape on vacation and come back with a real tan). It has the consistency of liquid foundation, and goes on like regular lotion. It dires within a matter of minutes. About five minutes after application, I scratched my legs and there were no streaks, and nothing under my nails. Also, my legs have been rubbing against my cloth furniture (I tend to sit in weird positions), and it hasn’t come off on my furniture, and my legs aren’t blotchy!image1

Not Your Mother’s Deja Vu Do Style Extender
Smells amazing! It says to use a like a nickle or dime sized amount, but that was not enough to cover all of my hair. So I used a bit more than suggested. To be honest, I didn’t notice a huge difference compared to what I regularly use. I used this stuff before I curled my hair, and my curls didn’t last any longer than normal. I’ll continue using it for the sake of having it, but I’m not sure if I would buy it again (maybe if it’s cheaper than my other stuff).

DOVE with Fruit
Yum.
I received the chocolate covered blueberries. I’m not a huge fan of blueberries, but these were so good! I guess you could cover just about anything in chocolate and it would be good, though…

ChapStick┬« dual-ended Hydration Lock Review

I was given a free ChapStick® dual-ended chapstick from Smiley360 to test and review.

Screen Shot 2014-11-10 at 12.42.39 AM

I received it in Moisturize/Renew.
I’m definitely a fan of the “renew” side. However, I can’t imagine the “moisturize” side being used too often.
The moisturize side just leaves my lips feeling more dry and I find myself reapplying more than usual.
With the renew side, it actually feels like my lips are getting hydrated and I don’t need to reapply every 15 minutes.
There’s also a Day/Night option that I think I’ll buy and try out.
This one comes with SPF on the “day” side, and antioxidants/oils to help replenish your lips at night.

My classic go-to look – featuring Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation

I’ve actually been trying to find a foundation that I like, and luckily enough we received the Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation in our Uni Voxbox (for free to test and review). Minus the fact that the one I received is totally not my color, I really like it. čÖé So here’s my classic go-to look using the foundation. čÖé Here are the products I used:
